6.35 miles at 9:28/mile in 1:00:08 with some elevation.  I am able to get through these miles easily enough.  It was 24 degrees. 

I was running Easy miles and basically going for recovery pace miles (9:39-10:23/mile) and trying for 10:00/miles but ran a bit faster than that. 

There is an art to running at a slower pace.  I find myself picking up the pace without realizing it.  Do not do this during the longer runs!

Hey Scott,

I do run Easy pace miles. But at times, I am trying to run even slower than Easy in an attempt to train for what I will be doing during the ultra. It is at these times that I have to focus on not going faster than the planned pace...takes getting used to running slower than Easy and holding that pace.
